When it comes to anti-slip floor safety, you’re at the right place. Having dealt with floor safety in more than 20 countries, we know a thing or two about the topic. There are a couple of factors to take into account when assessing the safety of your floors.
We have broken floor safety into four product categories and will go into a little more detail here:
Anti-Slip Treatments
The word Anti-Slip basically means that it is a slip prevention product and it dramatically decreases the risk of slipping. In layman’s terms, this means that the anti-slip treatment that is applied to the floor does not have a traction bead or granule, so the surface is still smooth.
Non-Slip Coating
In Floor safety, Non-Slip means that you cannot slip. This is typically a coating that is applied, and it has a profile. When we refer to a profile, we mean that the coating is rough and often has granules or traction beads protruding from the coating.
Cleaning Products
Cleaning and maintenance products are useful in maintaining anti-slip floor safety. They help the pores of tiles keep clean and also prevent a build-up of grease and grime, which normally causes slipperiness.
Hardware
In floor safety, hardware is a normal product that is retrofitted to a floor. An example of this is Aluminum stair nosing.
In order to keep your floors safe, you do not only need to apply an anti-slip treatment simply, but you also need to consider how you clean your floors moving forward. Most people make the mistake of using detergent-based cleaners and then allowing the air to dry the surface leaving behind a layer of detergent that once wet, becomes extremely slippery.
So you not only need to treat the floor but also discover how to clean the floor to prevent making it slippery… Want to learn the main uses of floor safety products? Click here
